It’s part of a new idea here on The Bloglancer, where I share opportunities I come across online and social media that I think might benefit my readers. Last week I shared some blogging opportunities and this week I’m sharing any freelance writing gigs I’ve come across.

–Lacuna Voices are currently taking pitches (look out for my piece in there very soon). It’s an amazing Independent journalism platform and you can find their pitch guidelines here.
-Air BnB magazine is working with @samdylanfinch (his twitter handle) to create a magazine about mental health+ travel and are looking for pitches on this topic. Their google form is here.
–PosAbility magazine tweeted a few weeks back about looking for pitches for their latest edition of the magazine. The tweet is here. and seems like they’re always open to pitches.
–MTV Australia is looking for young people things! and they say they’re open to non-Australian pitches (tip-I often pitch to American sites so don’t assume that location is a barrier.) The tweet is here.
-If you have an opinion piece, then, as usual, you can pitch it to ukopinion@huffpost (@LucyPasha is the editor) and Indy Voices. The Indy Voices desk is run by @hannahfearn and @C_Stevenson on twitter.
–Paisley Gilmour (@paisleyrgilmour on twitter) has on her twitter that she’s open to pitches for Cosmopolitan’s ‘love’ sex and relationship section.
–A new publication that caught my eye on twttier is restoftheworld.org. They have published their guidelines here about the kind of content they’re looking for.–
Uncomfortable Revolution is looking for journalists to write about intersection of pop culture, disability, race and ethnicity [for journalists and professional writers. Info here.
