6 places to find paid blogging work
In today’s post, I’m going to give you a quick rundown of the best places to find paid blogger jobs and different collaborations. This post is a paid advertisement with Get Blogged, who offer a blogger outreach service that connects bloggers and brands, but I’ll also mention some of my other favourite places to find work.
1. Pitch yourself
First of all, it’s worth remembering that if you can’t find blogging work via traditional blogging networks, then don’t be afraid to send out some pitches yourself. I cover this in my blog post-8 tips for emailing PRs-and whilst paid work might be more difficult at the moment, there’s nothing wrong with emailing brands to introduce yourself in the hope for paid work when things calm down.
2. Get Blogged.
I signed up to Get Blogged ages ago but revisited it after seeing it mentioned in Emma Drew’s ebook 90 days to a profitable blog. There’s a new marketplace feature which wasn’t there before-where brands can upload their opportunities directly for you to chat with directly-and the process of finding and securing paid work is really straightforward.
3. Facebook groups
There’s a few facebook groups that are worth checking out every week to see if paid jobs have been uploaded (beware that there can be some time-wasting stuff up there too!). I use Official UK Bloggers, UK Influencer Opportunities, Blogger Opportunities and my own facebook group: Pitching and Motivation for UK Bloggers.
4. Chronic Illness Bloggers
If you blog about life with chronic illness, why not join up for Chronic Illness Bloggers a community that connects bloggers with brands for things like paid posts and reviews.
5. My blog!
I’ve been listing blogging opportunities and freelance writing opportunities that I stumble across directly on this blog over the last few weeks. I hope to keep this up as a regular thing so keep your eyes peeled!
6. Tribe
Tribe is an Instagram app designed specifically for helping you find paid Instagram posts. The only downside is you have to create the content and submit it before finding out you’re approved, meaning it can be frustrating if you spend all that time to find out you’ve not been successful.
