Today I’m back with a NEW ebook (yes, it has taken me two years to write another one!) and it’s a topic I’ve wanted to write about for absolutely ages: freelance writing.
AD-This is my own paid product.
In 2018, I was already earning from my blog but I decided to branch out and try and get into freelance journalism.
I knew it was fiercely competitive: I didn’t have a qualification, I didn’t live in London and hadn’t done any internships other than work experience at my local paper when I was 16. I didn’t know anyone in the industry.
Yet, still I’ve managed to make a living from it. And in those two years, I have since written for: The Independent, The Telegraph, Metro Online, Refinery 29, Happiful Magazine, Culture Trip, Top Sante magazine, Mother and Baby to name just a few.
I’m always asked how to get into freelance writing and always say the same thing: you just need a really good idea.
But in theory, it is actually bit more complicated. You need a really good idea AND the know-how of how to pitch, who to pitch to, and when to pitch. And that’s what this ebook will do. It’s everything I’ve learnt over my years of freelance writing-in one low-cost ebook.

-The different ways to make money from freelance writing.
–What makes a really good story that won’t be rejected (with plenty of real examples from my own pitches).
-How to find places that will pay for your words-even during this pandemic (including info on places looking right now).
-The 3 steps I always use to pitch (with an example pitch) as well as tips on when to pitch and how to find contacts.
-Prompts and spaces to plan and track your pitches.
“I really enjoyed this book and thought it was a really practical and helpful guide to enable aspiring freelancers to hit the ground running. I love the fact it gets down to detail and is really practical – with some really helpful activities for people to follow as well as advice and guidance on how to get that commission. I’ll definitely be using this guide for pitching in the future.” Sarah-The Gluten Free Blogger.
“This book has been really useful for me as I’m a relatively new blogger hoping to branch out into freelance writing at some point in the future. My favorite part was the tips on how to find publications to pitch to as I’d always wondered how to do this!” Sarah-walkingunderwater.com
‘I’ve just downloaded the ebook and I loved it. There are loads of useful information-thanks so much Jenna for sharing all your tips!’ Becca-Easy Cheesy Vegetarian.
